If you are using .imgPTN files for Windows Installs, it is just the same as if you used the Windows USB tool or Rufus to make a bootable USB drive.
i.e. the same as using a DVD. You will not be prompted for an XML file. You can enter a key if Win8/10 because it will ask you if you want to OR you can just choose skip option.
If you want to automate Setup, you will have to use an XML file and place the XML file in the root (or inside the boot.wim file) - so you will need some expertise\knowledge for this.
