I tested the Acronis ISO under VBox with no problems. Usually a blank screen issue is due to the version of linux that is used does not support your graphics adapter.
Try converting the .ISO file to a .imgPTN file and then using the 2nd Acronis Recovery option. This will prompt you to choose a VGA mode - try different modes and see if that works.
I would also check the Acronis forums as probably others have found the same issue if they have the same graphics adapter.
